Standardised psychological testing, often referred to as psychometrics, is usually concerned with obtaining measurements of individual differences.

In some cases, SPA utilises the use of such instruments during assessments to determine, for example, an estimation of risk of sexual violence, IQ, PTSD and trauma or psychological difficulties. Psychometrics are never worked with in isolation but are supported by clinical interviews.
