While it still may not be possible to predict risk with unequivocal accuracy assessment tools designed to assess risk of violence have undoubtedly improved predictive assessment, particularly when used in combination with clinical evaluations.
The clinical risk assessments employed by SPA are based around dynamic and static risk factors. The risk assessments are also designed for use with clients to determine their risk of sexual violence, self harm, domestic violence and physical aggression. The assessment also involves meeting with clients on several occasions in order to gather as much relevant information as possible.
A formulation and functional analysis is conducted and presented within a risk assessment recommending areas where further support is needed. The interventions offered are individually researched and tailored to the client's specific requirements, which makes for a more effective outcome. All of the interventions are designed and delivered in a clearly structured manner. |
